Sermon Application:

  1. What do you think of Charles Spurgeon’s quote: We often write our blessings in the sand and we engrave our complaints in the marble! Are you more of a sand writer or a marble writer?

  2. When was the last time you took a spiritual inventory? Are you overdue for a spiritual inventory? What’s keeping you from taking the time and doing such an inventory?

  3. When was your last spiritual slump? What did you do, or what do you need to do to be rescued from such a slump?

  4. Are you seeking spiritual cheerleaders from outside instead of being your own spiritual cheerleader?

  5. When was the last time you prayed to God for the sole purpose of praising Him? How long can you pray without asking for something?

  6. Are you a forgetful person? Are you a forgetful person of the Lord’s benefits? What steps can you take to assist you in not being so forgetful?
